Program Name: Velo Systems Missed-Call Text-Back
1. Program Description
Velo Systems LLC operates an automated missed-call text-back service on behalf of local service businesses. When a caller places a call to a client business and that call goes unanswered, our system sends an automated SMS message to the caller identifying the business they called and inviting a reply or a callback. Messages are sent only in direct response to an inbound call placed by the recipient.
2. Call to Action & Consent (Opt-In)
This program has a single opt-in path. There is no web sign-up form, no keyword-to-shortcode opt-in, and no purchased or third-party list. The only way to enter this program is to place a voice call yourself to a business that uses Velo Systems and have that call go unanswered. Providing your mobile number by dialing the business is the affirmative act that constitutes your prior express consent to receive an automated text reply about that specific call.
We do not obtain phone numbers from purchased lists, data brokers, lead generators, web scraping, or any other third-party source. We never message a number that has not first called one of our client businesses. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
2.1 Where the disclosure is presented
Because consent is given by placing a phone call, the call-to-action is not collected on a web opt-in form. The full disclosure below is instead published where it is always publicly available:
- On a dedicated public disclosure page, velosystems.io/sms-disclosure, published and maintained by Velo Systems itself for every business enrolled in the program; and
- In the first message itself — the first text you receive identifies the business you called and carries opt-out instructions (see Section 2.3).
A client business may additionally present the disclosure in its voicemail greeting or IVR, next to the phone number on its own website, or on printed signage at its location. Those placements are optional supplements; the disclosure page above is the placement Velo Systems publishes, maintains, and verifies.
2.2 Verbatim disclosure language
Client businesses enrolled in the program register and send under their own brands and messaging campaigns; each enrolled business's own disclosure page shows that business's name in place of the bracketed placeholder below. For calls placed to lines operated by Velo Systems itself, the applicable disclosure — with Velo Systems named — is published at velosystems.io/sms-disclosure.
"If we can't get to your call, [Business Name] will text you back at the number you called from, using an automated messaging service. Message frequency varies; you'll get up to 4 messages per missed call. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See velosystems.io/sms-terms and velosystems.io/privacy. No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes."
2.3 Confirmation in the first message
The first message you receive always identifies the business you called and always carries opt-out instructions, so the disclosure reaches you again in writing even if you did not see or hear it before calling.
2.4 Originating numbers
Messages originate from a dedicated ten-digit local number assigned by Velo Systems to the specific business you called. This is the same number you dialed, or the number your call was forwarded to. Each client business has its own dedicated number; numbers are not shared between businesses.
2.5 What this program is not
This is a conversational and customer-care program only. We do not send marketing, promotional offers, discounts, coupons, sweepstakes, or solicitations of any kind through this program, and we do not send messages to anyone who has not first called one of our client businesses.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your own call and reply activity. A single missed call results in at most four messages: one immediate text-back, up to two follow-up messages over the following several days if you do not reply, and, if your reply asks to schedule, one additional message containing a booking link. If you reply, follow-up messages stop.
The immediate text-back is sent in direct response to your call, whenever that call is placed. Follow-up messages are sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in your local time zone.
4. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
5. Opting Out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving messages. You will receive one confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent to your number.
We also honor STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPTOUT. Send the keyword by itself for reliable processing. You may also request to stop in your own words, and we will honor any clear request. If you opt out and later want to resume, reply START or UNSTOP.
Opting out stops messages from the business you contacted. If you have called more than one business that uses Velo Systems, reply STOP to a message from each of them.
6. Help & Support
Reply HELP at any time for assistance, or contact us at topher@velosystems.io or (210) 504-6921.
7. Privacy
No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. Phone numbers collected through this program are used solely to respond to the caller's own inbound call on behalf of the business they called.
Your number is shared with the client business you called, so that business can serve you, and with the service providers that operate our messaging infrastructure. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Who the Messages Come From
Messages identify the business you called. They are pre-written, automated messages. They are not written in real time, and no person or automated system impersonates the staff of the business you called.
9. Carrier Liability
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
